Is it easy to have a cleaning lady for a small apartment? How much does it costs? Where is the best place to find the person - reliable?
I am moving to Bahrain and hope you can help mesolving a few doubts. I thank you in advance.

Hi Jen,

I'm guessing you are looking for someone part-time rather than a full-time maid. It's not very difficult to find one, the best way to find someone reliable is however to ask friends or acquaintances if they use a maid and if they would be open to another part-time assignment.

An alternative way is to put in a classified ad in one of the English papers (I'd recommend either the locally-published Gulf Daily News or the UAE's Gulf News which is widely distributed in Bahrain).

You could also simply post a notice at one of the supermarkets/malls close to where you live.

Always ask for referrals and follow up on these.
