Two Rugby Pitches
The Rugby pitches are the heart of the club where most of our activities are played. Our Heineken 1st XV, Bahrain Firbolgs and our Golden Oldies have had many a good win on these pitches, as well as Rugby on practically a weekly basis. Soccer, Gaelic Games, and even Polo has become a regular feature on the pitches. When the pitches need the well-deserved rest from extensive usage, Boules has become a very popular event on a Wednesday evening and Friday afternoon. Competition is intense and the finals are up to eleven points. If you want to become a Boules player or even a champion, contact Annie or come down on a Friday afternoon. Pitch bookings and costing for your particular sports event can be made through Annie.
The Clubs Swimming Pool
The Clubs 25meter swimming pool (chilled in summer, heated in winter) has become a regular meeting place for families and for sporting galas alike, swimming squad classes for young and old are provided on a weekly basis at the club. So if you fancy a swim on a regular basis or would like to swim for fitness or squad training, contact the club for further details.
Netball
Netball is one of our regular features at the club and is played each Tuesday from 7.30pm during our netball season. Intense training and regular competitions with visiting teams are played at the netball court. If you fancy getting fit, why not speak to Ginette Fawn and she may be able to get you on the team. Junior netball on a Thursday evening from 6.15pm (except the summer months) with Ginnett. Mixed netball on a Sunday from 7.30pm all year round has become a popular attraction so come and join in the fun.
Mini Rugby
The Rugby Players of tomorrow practice their skills and learn the tricks of the game from the coaches every Tuesday Night at 6pm. The season runs from October through to the end of May. Kids play in their respective age groups with increasing complexity and skill that the game is renowned for. This year we have had over 150 kids in Mini Rugby. In addition, Mini Rugby has become a great social event for Moms and Dads alike as parents gather in the clubhouse to discuss the past weeks events and what the plans are for the weekend.

Touch Rugby on a Monday evening from 7.30pm sponsored by Heineken has been a well-supported event throughout the season. Teams such as the Green Genies and Battered Sav's played throughout the season for the big prize in the grand final. Touch Rugby is a great family game as each team must have men, women and junior rugby players and full contact is not permitted. Teams gathered in the club for the after games dinner which was sponsored throughout the year by our generous sponsors. Touch rugby is played socially throughout the summer from 7.30pm so put the boots on and come and join in.
